Do shower curtains work okay for a bottom to a C&C cage?

That would work perfectly fine. Actually shower curtains is a good alternative if you can't get coroplast near you. Just make sure you can handle spraying it down everyday and keeping up with the cleaning of it. I used shower curtains for my last guinea pigs C+C cage and it worked just as great as coroplast!
