How can I get a Casio CW-50 CD title Printer to work?

My neighbor is trying to help recording artists...he bought previously owned Casio CW-50 CD label Printer/disc title printer which worked fine until his wife brought him anew workstation and they had to unplug everything. Now it doesn't work. I went over there and we uninstalled it and then re-installed it using the disc it came with. The installation wizard says it is installed, however, when we try to print/burn a title to a cd, the screen goes blank for a second and then when it reappears, the words are bigger and it is in "safe mode", yet it still will not print anything to a loaded CD. Any suggestions, please?
